The symbolism around here reaches astonishingly mystical levels. This picture is a candle holder of which there were two on the table. Yet it depicts wheat, the staff of life, which is outlined in light. Yet the picture was taken at an angle in which the light is more golden then pure, while the metal of the candleholder assumes the rust-colored nature of the wheat itself. And because there is fire, one of life's elements, in the metal candle holder, there is also warmth.
Light, warmth, the staff of life and family. This is the story of Leslie's life. I'm lucky to be a part of it.
Happy thanksgiving to you Leslie and all your loved ones.
