The Dog You Never See

You may have read about this seldom captured dog of mine before. Maybe you even saw the rare photo of her. Scout hates the camera -- and a thousand other things -- so, it is very rare that she appears on my blog.

But my Christmas long lens may change all of that . . . until she catches on.

My Snowflake. My Scooter Pie. My Scout.

  2. Dear Stiffie:

Was that the day you hung a pork chop on the new huge lens you got? The lens is 11 feet long and Scout thought you were playing a game called, "Dangle the pork chop from the tube out the open back door." Note the simmering pools of passion in her coal-black eyes. This look accmpanied the realization of the swindle you were running to get her picture. Now she thinks you have her soul, along with mine, in that jar in the kitchen.

    Sincerely,

The writer in the front room attached to your kitchen — Jack

  3. Stiff:

Her tail is forming a question mark that asks, "Why are you not opening the door to let me in?"

  11. Awesome photo of your ghost dog, Leslie. Look at those ears (shhh, I think she's catching onto having her portrait taken) and that tale (so happy!). The other two posts that you've linked to here are terrific, too.

  12. I can't believe she's the same pup that had all those Georgia ticks on her head. She's such a beauty now. And to think they were going to put her to sleep!
    As always, LOVE your blog.

  18. I hate the camera, too. Maybe it's because every damn picture of me is SO BAD.
