"Where stone, that mystic symbol of permanence, nobility, and enduring strength, has been transformed by nature's sculptors into a grand display of three-dimensional artistry in rock unmatched for variety anywhere else." ~Ward Roylance
I've been to the most beautiful place.
With the most amazing light and color.
Zion National Park.
And making art around the table with friends. (Michael deMeng had a book like this when I took his workshop a few weeks ago.)
Yes, I'm thankful.

Leslie, there are a few singular moments in my life when I took a mental snapshot that never fails to make my heart skip a beat. One is looking out at half-dome, and another is entering Zion National Park. That is one of the most amazing places I've ever been.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw photo #3 I was already guessing it was Zion. It's been nearly 5 years since we were there, and it was also in November. After Zion we headed to Bryce Canyon and had to drive through two snowstorms. Thanks for the memories

The photo's of Zion are magnificant...just as I remembered it to be. You should try the Grand Loop (Bryce, Moab, Canyonlands and Grand Canyon).
