Texas Earth Notes

I am excited to be teaching in Boerne, Texas, again this fall.

I hope you can join me at the lovely home of our hostess - Laura Roberts of HastyPearl - as we explore the ecodyeing materials found in the hill country outside of San Antonio.

After spending three days with Laura last year, I can tell you that those hills are rich with color for the dye pot!

We pulled amazing prints from leaves found right outside the door.

During the 2-day workshop, we will ecodye fabric and paper using natural materials found on the property, and then stitch them together into a small wool-covered book. We will embellish our covers with bits of vintage fabric and lace, beads, sticks, metal findings and lots of stitches.

And all through the two days, we will be pampered by the lady of the house, who will provide snacks and drinks, a home-cooked lunch and the best darn ice cream sandwich you will ever eat in your life! (photo by Laura)

We're holding a seat for you! But hurry. Space is limited.

The cost for this two-day workshop is $275. Cost of transportation and accommodations are not included. A list of hotels close to the venue will be sent when your have secured your spot with a $100 deposit. You can send your payment to LeslieMarsh@mac.com via PayPal or check to:

Your final payment will be due by October 1.

There is also a $15 kit fee payable on the first day of the workshop.
